1. Milwaukee Public Market: A Culinary Haven

Step into the warmth and delectable aromas of the Milwaukee Public Market. This bustling indoor market is a culinary haven, offering a diverse range of local foods and artisanal products. From gourmet cheeses to freshly roasted coffee, it's the perfect place to escape the winter chill and indulge your taste buds. My favorite shop inside is Oro di Oliva, they specialize in delicious, flavored olive oils. Be sure to stop in for a taste of their chipotle olive oil!

2. Red Arrow Park: Ice Skating Bliss

Embrace the winter wonderland by lacing up your skates at Slice of Ice at Red Arrow Park in downtown Milwaukee. The park's ice rink is the ideal spot for a leisurely glide or a delightful family outing. Framed by holiday lights, the ambiance is pure magic. Don't worry if you don't have your own skates; rentals are available for your convenience starting at $7. There are rental skate aids (Sponsored by the Milwaukee Admirals) available for the kiddos for only $1, tickets start at $8 for kids 17 & under and $10 for adults.

3. Mitchell Park Domes: Horticultural Heaven

Escape the winter chill and immerse yourself in the lush beauty of the Mitchell Park Domes. These three iconic glass domes showcase an array of botanical wonders, from tropical rainforests to arid deserts. It's a horticultural paradise where you can wander through different climates and enjoy the vibrant plant life year-round. Be sure to check out their desert dome, it's my favorite. The floral dome has rotating shows, the next one will be their holiday show from November through December and then their winter train show from January through March.

4. Candy Cane Lane in West Allis: A Festive Neighborhood Tradition

For a heartwarming holiday experience, visit Candy Cane Lane in West Allis. This festive neighborhood tradition transforms an entire community into a winter wonderland. Every house on this magical lane is adorned with enchanting light displays, and it's a beloved tradition for both residents and visitors. Stroll or drive through this sparkling neighborhood and immerse yourself in the holiday spirit.
